BELLINGHAM – Six Western Washington University College of Business & Economics (CBE) students were chosen to participate in the Leadership Lunch event held at Western Washington University on Nov. 16.Â
The quarterly CBE Leadership Lunch Program recognizes students who have distinguished themselves through scholarship and leadership; students are nominated by faculty in their respective departments.Â
The selected students were: Â Cassandra Helms, Marketing, Enumclaw; Alex Peek, Financial Economics, Bainbridge Island; Brittany Gilmore, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, Spokane; Andrew Crouse, Management and Finance, Arlington; Stephanie Hermanutz, Accounting and Finance, Bellingham; and Eric Gillison, Financial Economics and Accounting, Kirkland.
The students were joined at the lunch by four business leaders and two faculty and administrators from Western’s College of Business and Economics.
At the lunch, students met with the business leaders to discuss topics concerning organizational leadership and career development. Â The lunch provided an opportunity for the business professionals to contribute to the educational mission of the College of Business and Economics through interactions with students and faculty.Â
The luncheon program is organized by the Center for Excellence in Management Education at the CBE. The Center for Excellence in Management Education provides a variety of programs designed to connect business and industry leaders with faculty and students to promote business and economics education.
