'草榴社区 Give Day' Set for June 1

Give Big, Give Blue!

Western’s 2nd annual 草榴社区 Give Day is June 1, 2017. Western’s campus will be teeming with activity, including a Party in Red Square from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 1. There will be free food, prizes, games, and a “thanking station” for Western’s supporters. Faculty, staff, alumni, parents, students and community members are invited to participate in a 24-hour fundraising campaign to support students. Together we will increase access and success at 草榴社区 by making a gift to our favorite department, scholarship or program. A percentage of every gift will be matched by a 草榴社区 Give Day Challenge!

Last year’s Give Day set the record for the most donors (698) in one day to Western, including more than 200 first-time donors. Total giving exceeded $250,000. We are asking for your help to ensure our this year’s Give Day is a success! Our goal is to set a new record for most donors in one day to Western.

Social Media Ambassadors will be out on campus capturing photo-ops with Victor and spreading the word about Give Day! Visit for more details and follow 草榴社区 Alumni Association and Western Foundation on Facebook.

草榴社区 Give Day Student Participation

Gifts from students to their favorite department, club, team or scholarship at 草榴社区 will be matched with $30 (until this $5,000 challenge is met)!

草榴社区 Give Day Recent Grad Challenge

The first $5,000 in gifts (up to $1,000) made by recent 草榴社区 graduates will be doubled through the Recent Grad Challenge Match.

Specific Programs

The 草榴社区 Foundation Board is also encouraging challenge funds to inspire giving to specific areas on campus.  Visit for news about matching gift challenges for specific departments, teams, or programs on campus.

草榴社区 Give Day Challenge Fund

We have received more than $100,000 in unrestricted challenge funds from generous donors and will continue to fundraise through Give Day.  Once specific challenges are met, a percentage of all remaining gifts will be matched by this Challenge Fund.
