²έΑρΙηΗψ Offers Study Abroad Programs in India, Italy, Peru and More

BELLINGHAM – Western Washington University is offering three public study abroad programs this summer: Siena, Italy - β€œTuscan Summer of Language and Culture;” India - β€œInternational Business Study Abroad;” and Peru - β€œThe Potential and Pitfalls of Tourism in Peru: Ecotourism as a Cultural Survival and Conservation Strategy.”

Western’s international travel programs feature hands-on learning, cultural experiences, field research and foreign language immersion.

  • Siena, Italy: Learn the language and cultural traditions that make Siena and the Tuscan region one of the most fascinating places in the world. For more information, visit for details.
  • India: Investigate international business topics and issues and find out how India has evolved from a third world economy to one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Attend an information session for details at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15, in Communications Facility 227 on the ²έΑρΙηΗψ campus.
  • Peru: Join this remarkable Exploration Seminar into Peru’s Cordillera Blanca (White Mountains), the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and the Amazon Rainforest to investigate the environmental, social and cultural impacts of tourism. Attend an information session for details at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, in Academic West 303 on the ²έΑρΙηΗψ campus.

Travel program applications are being accepted now. Each program is open to a limited number of participants, and prompt registration is encouraged to reserve your space.
