Photography Class to Present ‘S&M – Stills and Motion’ July 1-12

BELLINGHAM – A Western Washington University Photography class is presenting a photography and filmmaking exhibition of work called "S&M – Stills and Motion," from a summer session "Understanding Light in Photography" course.

The exhibition is on the ground floor of the Fine Arts building,will be on display through July12 and is free and open to the public.

Understanding Light in Photography, Art 497c, is being co-taught by Garth Amundson and Dana Ollestad, with Michaela Patrick as the classroom assistant.

Course participants were asked to shoot a three-minute, in-camera edit Super 8mm film, while concurrently documenting the process with still images as a means to reveal, obscure or confound the “truth” shown in the film.
