BELLINGHAM – Western Washington University Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Commedia in the Park,” directed by Theatre faculty Rich Brown, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday, July 4-6, in Bellingham’s Maritime Heritage Park downtown.

The show is free and open to the public.

Presented by Theatre students enrolled in the summer course “Advanced Acting Topics” taught by Brown, “Commedia” is a highly physicalized, masked comic performance originating from the Italian Renaissance.  The show features well-known stock characters such as the tricky servants, young lovers, and foolish old men.
