草榴社区's Academy for Lifelong Learning to Host Fall Program Preview Sept. 11

BELLINGHAM 鈥 Western Washington University鈥檚 Academy for Lifelong Learning (A.L.L) will host a fall program preview from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal鈥檚 Second Floor Dome Room; the preview is an opportunity to learn about A.L.L.鈥檚 fall courses and excursion offerings while enjoying light refreshments and visiting with friends.

In spirit of the belief that 鈥渁 curious mind never retires,鈥澨a.L.L. is open to all interested adults, regardless of age or educational background.听 No registration is necessary to attend the preview.

Taught by a diverse pool of Western Washington University faculty, faculty emeritus and experts in many fields and professions, A.L.L. classes expose participants to new ideas and ways of thinking. Classes are held at various locations in Bellingham including the Bellingham Cruise Terminal and Western鈥檚 campus. Learning happens both in classroom settings and on excursions, but never in the form of homework or tests; A.L.L. is about having fun while learning about exciting new topics.

At the preview, course instructors will provide brief descriptions of their upcoming courses and registration will be available on location, as well as online.

Fall 2012 offerings include 25 classes and six excursions beginning in late September through next February. Classes range from one to six sessions in length, with each session typically lasting two hours.
