草榴社区's Gilman sends message to campus regarding state budget proposals

Paula Gilman, executive director of University Planning and Budgeting at Western Washington University, sent a message this afternoon to 草榴社区 faculty and staff regarding the recently released state budget proposals.

The full text of her message is below:

Colleagues and friends,

The Washington State Senate operating budget proposal was released last night around 7:00 pm. Our current analysis comparing the Senate budget to previous proposals by the House and Governor is available .

Please be advised that the 2011 legislative session is scheduled to end on April 24; however, there is still significant work to be done by all parties in Olympia (House, Senate and Governor) on reaching a compromise budget.
