York Neighborhood's "Dumpster Day" set for June 3

Annual Dumpster Day …“To Clean Up York”

Several of our very dedicated and consistent volunteers are unable to help us this year. If you have helped in the past, benefited by this much loved tradition or were wondering what can I do for a couple of hours that can make a big difference in my neighborhood- and have fun doing it- volunteers are needed to help with the dumpster loading and to drive around the neighborhood picking up trash. If you can help out, contact Cory and Lisa Anderson at: cory.lisa.anderson@gmail.com

When: Saturday, June 3rd

Starts: Dumpster opens at 8:30 (not a minute earlier)

Please don’t leave items in the parking lot before we officially open the dumpster.

Ends: Closes when it is full (probably by 10am, so don’t be late!)

Where:  Nelson’s Market, 514 Potter St.

  • No- Yard waste
  • No- Chemical waste
  • No- Paint cans
  • No- Fluorescent light tubes
  • No- tires
  • No- large appliances
  • No construction debris
  • No- household garbage from your regular bin

If you have a large item that needs to be picked up, please e-mail Cory and Lisa at cory.lisa.anderson@gmail.com. We will do our best to arrange a pick up. Please state your York Neighborhood address, item to be picked up, location of item (driveway/ally/etc.) and a number where we can reach you. We will call to confirm we have a driver the day before.

This is York’s 39th year hosting Dumpster Day. Special thanks to SSC for the free dumpster; Allied Waste/Republic Services for the free dumpage, and Nelson’s Market for the location.
