Opal Charter School teacher recognized in new book profiling gifted educators across the country

Kerry Salazar, an elementary school teacher at Opal Charter School, has been recognized as a top educator in the new book, 鈥淎merican Teacher: Heroes in the Classroom.鈥

Holocaust survivor Noemi Ban will share her story during talks at Western Washington University on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Wednesday Feb. 12.

The events begin at 6 p.m. in Arntzen Hall 100, and are free and open to the public.
