Michael Porter Sr. named Huskies assistant coach, replaces Brad Jackson on bench

Michael Porter Sr. is joining the University of Washington basketball staff as an assistant coach. Coach Lorenzo Romar announced the move Friday.

Legendary Western Washington basketball coach Chuck Randall dies at 89

Chuck Randall, who attended Central Valley then coached several area high schools before becoming Western Washington University鈥檚 Coach of the Century, died Wednesday. He was 89.

Born in 1926, Randall鈥檚 family raised him in Veradale and he became a three-year letterman in football,鈥
