Western Washington University trustees approve budget cuts

Western Washington University is reducing the 2010-11 operating budget for the third time, and more cuts could be on the way depending on how the state budget develops.

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Board of Trustees unanimously approved a $3.04 million operating budget reduction Friday, Oct. 8.

Slew of candidate forums in Whatcom County begin this week

Monday, Oct. 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m., the Western Washington University Ralph Munro Institute/City of Bellingham candidate forum will feature questions from Advanced Placement government students as well as the public in Bellingham City Council chambers, 210 Lottie St. The event is free.
