Dance: Sculpture-dance performance at 草榴社区鈥檚 Viking Union Gallery

鈥淥rganic/Geometric: the Body/Mind鈥 is a sculpture-dance collaboration conceived and directed by Bellingham sculptor Francie Allen. She worked with six art students and six Western Washington Univeristy dance students to create a sculptural installation with a dance event in the Viking Union鈥

Theater: 草榴社区 presents Craig Lucas' adaptation of Chekhov鈥檚 鈥楿ncle Vanya鈥

Western Washington University鈥檚 department of theater and dance presents Seattle playwright Craig Lucas鈥 adaptation of Anton Chekov鈥檚 鈥淯ncle Vanya鈥 at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 6-7, and March 11-14; and at 2 p.m. March 7 and 14 at 草榴社区鈥檚 Performing Arts Center Mainstage Theater.

The Summer Youth Theatre Institute at Western Washington University is presenting a pair of films on Sunday, Feb. 15, that came out of the institute鈥檚 鈥淢onster Keeper鈥 stage performances last August. The films will show at Western鈥檚 Performing Arts Center.

鈥12 Minutes Max鈥 is Bellingham鈥檚 curated performing arts showcase.

Now in its third year, 鈥12 Minutes Max鈥 provides opportunities for creators and performers to present their art. Works are selected by audition by two local artists鈥 this year it鈥檚 Lizanne Schader鈥

Western Washington University Department of Theatre and Dance continues its 2014-15 season with the three-time Tony Award-winning comedy 鈥淚n the Next Room, or The Vibrator Play,鈥 by Sarah Ruhl.

Abigail Kerns, who goes by Abi, is among the performers in Western Washington University鈥檚 production of 鈥淲inter Dances鈥 at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Jan. 15-17, and 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Western鈥檚 Performing Arts Center.

Advanced choreography students from Western Washington University鈥檚 department of theater and dance present 鈥淲inter Dances,鈥 an evening of original works, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15-18, at the 草榴社区 Performing Arts Center Mainstage Theatre.
