Western students volunteer to feed homeless for holidays

Bellingham鈥檚 homeless and low-income families have the opportunity to gather at Maritime Heritage Park for a warm Thanksgiving dinner this weekend.

Western Washington University is seeking volunteers for its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program over the next few weeks.

The program, which helps low- and moderate-income people prepare tax returns, is staffed by students from Western and Whatcom Community College, and by community鈥
